First team debutants from VCF Academy in 2021/22
The VCF Academy played a prominent role for the Valencia CF first team in 2021/22, with seven players from youth level making their debuts for the senior side.
César Tárrega, Rubén Iranzo, Cristhian Mosquera, Javi Guerra, Jesús Santiago Yellu and Mario Domínguez all featured for the first time. In addition, Giorgi Mamardashvili, signed to participate for VCF Mestalla, ended up becoming an established goalkeeper in LaLiga.

César Tárrega was the first to receive the nod during the season. He made his Copa del Rey debut against CD Utrillas on December 2nd. The Copa del Rey was also the scene for Javi Guerra and Cristhian Mosquera's first minutes, on January 16th against Atlético Baleares.

In LaLiga, Rubén Iranzo made his debut on December 20th, in the derby that Valencia CF played against Levante UD at the Ciutat de València.
Jesús Santiago 'Yellu' also enjoyed his first minutes with Valencia CF, on April 19th in an away fixture against Villarreal CF at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
Mario Domínguez was the last to receive his chance with the first team, on the penultimate matchday of the LaLiga campaign against RCD Espanyol on May 14. He also played in the season finale against Celta Vigo.
